World of Wonders Project
The Andes Expedition

This fifth phase of the Around-the-World driving expedition of the World of Wonders Project followed Kim & Don as we continued our exploration of South America driving 6,300 miles (10,161 km) northward along the Andes crossing back and forth between Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru.  This journey began on April 17, 2006 in Coyhaique, Chile and ended in Lima, Peru on June 18, 2006.

Travel from sea level on the Pacific Ocean, over 15,000 foot (4572 mts) high mountain passes, explore the deserts, altiplano and salt plains of this region.
