The Far North Adventure Page
On our Far North Expedition we will be experiencing a number of the different adventures available in Alaska and the Yukon .
We are looking forward to encounters with the large variety of animals that inhabit the far north. We hope to see brown bears, black bears and maybe even grizzly bears. All from a safe distance of course! We also hope to see moose, caribou, Dall sheep and if we’re really lucky, a wolf. We’re also really looking forward to seeing the salmon running on the Kenai River .
Another exciting adventure we are looking forward to is kayaking along Alaska’s coastal areas. It would be great to see sea otters, seals and especially an orca!
Alaska also has numerous lakes to kayak and 437 species of birds including the magnificent bald eagle. We hope to see many of them around the lakes.
Especially exciting, we are looking forward to visiting Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Reserve. Named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, this park contains over 2,000 glaciers including some of the largest and most active in the world.
We are looking forward to all of these adventures and hope that you will join us along the way! Follow along through video clips, photos and email.
